VP3 — PFAFF / Husqvarna Viking

VP3 is the "new" PFAFF/Husqvarna format. It supports structured multi-color designs, thread metadata (chart, description, catalog), and multiple hoops. It is an HUS body compressed with EmbCompress, wrapped in a tree of format sections.

What it supports

• Trims: supported.
• Colors: thread objects with extended (manufacturer-style) metadata.
• Hoop: stored in the format.
• Compression: EmbCompress (see).

Reference tooling

Cross-verified against the pyembroidery reader (MIT). The writer is software-verified; acceptance on a real machine is still pending, as for HUS / VIP.
